How do I import new report templates in Daily Report?

Learn how to import updated report templates into Daily Report and convert existing arrival, departure, and noon reports created with older template versions. This article explains when template imports are required, how the import process works, and how to ensure your reports use the latest template version.

IMPORTING NEW TEMPLATES

This section describes how to add a new form of *.ffv or *.ffz format to the Daily Report 3.

Important: Please create a backup as described here before importing the templates.

1. Please go to File > Import Template(s) / Schedule(s).

2. Now browse for the file e.g.: “YourCompanyName-Templates-Current.ffz”. (Note: You can either use .ffz or .ffv files, both of them are import ready)

3. This notice appears on the screen, click OK.

Now your template file is imported. The up-to-date templates can be downloaded from Flettracker>Admin>Downloads page.

CONVERT PAST ARRIVAL, DEPARTURE OR NOON REPORTS (WITH AN OLDER VERSION NUMBER) TO NEW REPORTS WITH NEW TEMPLATES

This feature can be of relevance when new fields and functions had been inserted in the arrival and departure reports. For example, beginning of 2023 we have implemented the CII correction figures tab in the arrival and departure reports. You can now make this new tab available in older reports as follow:

1. To edit the destination double click on the schedule entry in which you would like to convert the report

2. Click on “Update Arrival Report and/or “Update Departure Report”

3. Click on the button “Convert to new report with new template” to upgrade the template version number.

4. Check if the reporting period is correct.

5. By clicking on the “Info” button you can check the template version.

6. IMPORTANT When you have converted a past arrival and/or departure report you need to convert ALL other following arrival and departure reports as well! Otherwise the version number will be inconsistent and this will generate a warning in the data quality section.
