💻🇬🇧How do I create a new UK ETS Emissions Monitoring Plan (EMP)?

The UK ETS Emissions Monitoring Plan (EMP) feature allows you to create and manage an EMP for your responsible shipping company in the Swiss Climate platform. An EMP contains company-level monitoring procedures as well as vessel-specific information and can later be transferred directly to METS via the API.

You can create an EMP either from scratch or by importing information from an existing EU MRV (ETS) Monitoring Plan

To start creating an EMP:

  1. Open the Monitoring Dashboard.
  2. Select UK ETS Company EMP for the relevant company.

  1. Click the plus (+) icon in the upper-right corner.

  1. Choose how you want to create the EMP:
    • Start with an empty EMP to create the plan from scratch.
    • Import from an existing EU MRV (ETS) Monitoring Plan to use existing information as a basis.
  2. If starting with an empty EMP, enter the shipping company name and IMO company number.
  3. Continue completing the required company-level procedures and vessel-specific information.

Once the EMP is complete, it can be transferred to METS.
