Groups are created, renamed, and deleted by Swiss Climate Support. You can assign vessels to existing groups yourself in the admin area under Ship Groups. A vessel can only be assigned to one Ship Group.
- Define your group structure: Decide how you want to organize your vessels, for example by vessel type or technical responsibility.
- Prepare the group names: Compile a complete list of the names you want to use. If you are changing existing groups, specify which groups should be kept, renamed, or deleted.
- Send your request to Support: Share your desired group structure with your Swiss Climate Support contact.
- Wait for the groups to be created: Once the groups have been created, you can assign the vessels yourself.

A possible structure includes:
- Container and Coaster to organize vessels by type
- Or groups named using the initials of the people responsible for technical management for instance
Once the groups have been created, open the admin area in Fleettracker and go to Ship Groups. Use this section to assign your vessels to the existing groups.
⚠️ Important: Each vessel can only be assigned to one Ship Group. Choose the group that matches your intended fleet structure; you cannot assign the same vessel to both a vessel-type group and a technical-responsibility group.
🔄 Making changes later- Changing vessel assignments: You can update the assignments yourself under Ship Groups.
- Adding another group: Send Support the name of the new group you would like to create.
- Renaming or deleting a group: Contact Support and clearly identify the group and the change you require.
Can our office create new groups itself?
Groups are created by Swiss Climate Support. You can assign vessels to existing groups yourself.
Can a vessel appear in two groups?
No. A vessel can only be assigned to one Ship Group.
Where can I find the vessel assignment settings?
In the Fleettracker admin area under Setting -> Ship Groups.
