🚢 We have acquired a ship above 5,000 GT. What do we need to do with its Monitoring Plans?

When acquiring a ship, you should review its existing Monitoring Plans and determine whether they need to be updated or reassessed.

Option A – The ship follows your existing fleet procedures

If the ship will use the same monitoring and reporting procedures as the rest of your fleet, we recommend cloning an existing Monitoring Plan in the MRV Cockpit, adapting it and submitting it for assessment.

Option B – The ship retains its existing procedures

If the ship continues using its previously established procedures, you may be able to retain its accepted Monitoring Plans.

For EU MRV, certain minor adjustments can be made without requiring a full reassessment. Make the necessary changes in the MRV Cockpit and submit an assessment request to the auditor with a comment explaining the changes. According to our audit team's guidance, these minor adjustments do not incur additional assessment fees from us.

For IMO DCS, changes must be assessed and confirmed by the flag administration. Assessment fees and possible flag-state fees may apply.

Audit confirmation required: The exact treatment depends on the change of responsible company and the nature of the plan amendments.
